See Historic Buildings – From Carisbrooke Castle to Osborne house there are lots of historic buildings on the island to experience. Carisbrooke castle is famed for being the place that King Charles I failed to escape from and the castle itself has been defending the Island for over a millennium. Osborne house is a magnificent place to explore, as it was the summer holiday home of Queen Victoria.
