We all have culinary memories. Some more than others, but all have. Mine are many and that is, as has always interested me gastronomy, my memory has been commissioned to cherish without skimping space. One is the cake of bread, ham and cheese.
I remember the day my mother prepared for the first time. He did it for dinner, in a gas oven, temperamental and unpredictable, that night behaved well and rewarded us with a cake of bread, ham and cheese that I made my delight. Today I have felt prepare for my family, renewing the classic recipe, and thus it has become attractive.
Ingredients for five units
- 10 to 12 slices of bread, butter, breadcrumbs, 75 g of tomato sauce, 15 slices of cheese 7-8 slices of cooked ham, 2 eggs, 250 ml milk, salt and pepper.

Molds prepared custard cups or spreading a little butter around the inside and sprinkle breadcrumbs on the base and sides… Reserve… Beat the eggs with the milk and salt to taste.
We cut discs of bread and we spread, on one side, with a thin layer of butter and other tomato sauce. We cut discs of cooked ham and cheese. Discs soaked bread in the egg mixture and milk, ensuring that they are moist but not soggy.

Assemble the cakes by placing a layer of bread at the base of each mold, then a cooked ham and cheese another. We put bread, ham and cheese to finish with bread. When we all assembled molds, we water with the remaining egg and milk trying not to overflow.
