Then you can’t choose better means of communication than Facebook. Through the most famous social network in the world, in fact, everyone can sponsor their own events by creating a system of invitations that greatly encourages word of mouth.
How do you say? What are you particularly interested in, so would you like to find out how to sponsor an event on Facebook? No problem: all you have to do is read the instructions I am about to give you and put them into practice. Even if you are not very expert in the use of computers and mobile devices, I assure you that, thanks to the “tips” that I will give you, you will succeed without problems.
So what are you still doing there? Before going into the heart of this guide and actually seeing how to sponsor an event on Facebook, let me give you some preliminary information that will help you to achieve your goal.
First of all, I want to tell you that, to access the function that allows you to sponsor an event on Facebook, you need to have a page. If you don’t have one yet, you’ll have to create it, otherwise you won’t be able to follow the directions I’m about to give you. In creating the event to be sponsored on Facebook, then, you will have to choose the page you created as the organizer of the same, which assumes that the event is public and not private (so anyone can view it and decide to participate). If everything is clear to you so far, I’d say we can start. We proceed!
How to sponsor an event on Facebook from smartphones and tablets
Let’s see first how to sponsor an event on Facebook from smartphones and tablets. To succeed in this, you must log in to your Facebook account, create the event to be advertised and then activate paid sponsorship.
Access, therefore, to Facebook through the official app of the social network for Android or iOS, presses the button (≡) located at the top right (on Android) or at the bottom right (on iOS) and, in the screen that opens, tap on the heading Events.
Now, press on the blue button (+) located at the bottom right (on Android) or on the button (+) Create which is on the left (on iOS) and arrange to create a public event. On Android, you then tap on the button (▾), located at the top left, and select the Public event option; on iOS, instead, select the item Create a public event.
Now, tap the Add Photos button (on Android) or the camera icon (on iOS) and select the cover photo of the event you want to set. Page, then, on the Organizer menu and select the page of your interest, by tapping on the name of the latter (under the heading Your Pages).
In the text field Name of the event / Title of the event , indicate the name you intend to give to the event and provide all the other details of the same indicating, through the appropriate text and menu fields, the place and time in which land; enter any ticket link , details of the event itself and so on. When you’re ready to do it, then tap the Publish or Create button to share it.
At this point, you can finally arrange to sponsor the event you have just created: to do so, presses the button (≡), tap on the name of the page you have indicated as the event organizer and press the Page button at the top. Then scroll through the displayed screen, locate the box for the event you want to sponsor and tap the button Show event.
In the screen that opens, choose the audience to show the sponsorship of the event (e.g. People who like your Page, Teenager, People you choose by targeting, etc.) and indicate the overall budget you intend to spend and the duration of the sponsorship.
Then, press the Add payment method button and follow the on-screen instructions to select the payment method you prefer to use to finance the campaign (e.g. credit / debit card, current account or PayPal). Finally, tap the Promote event button and follow any instructions that appear on the screen to complete the procedure.
I remind you that the post concerning the event you have chosen to promote will be characterized by the presence of the word sponsored, which indicates that you paid Facebook to show it to a wider audience.
How to sponsor a computer event on Facebook
Do you prefer to sponsor an event on Facebook by acting as a computer? Well, then you know that the steps to follow are very similar to those I illustrated to you in the previous chapter dedicated to smartphones and tablets. Even in this case, in fact, you first need to create a public event, taking care to set your own page as an organizer, and then highlight the post.
To proceed, go to Facebook through its Web version or, if you prefer, its application for Windows 10), then click on the Create button located at the top of the page (on the top bar of the social network) and, in the menu that opens, select the Event item.
Now, open the menu located in the upper part of the box related to the creation of the event (which in the meantime should have appeared on screen) and select the Public event option. Then open the menu located at the Event Organizer label and select the name of the page through which you want to create the event.
Next, choose a theme from the predefined ones or upload a photo or video, so as to create the cover of the event. Then complete the form providing, in the appropriate text fields, the name of the event, the place where it will be held, the description, the date, the time, etc. When you are ready to do so, click on the Create button at the bottom right to publish the event.
After creating the event, you need to sponsor it: to do so, click on the button (▾) located in the upper right corner (on the top bar of Facebook) and click on the name of the page you indicated as the event organizer itself (located under the heading Your Pages). Go through the displayed page, locate the post related to the event you want to sponsor and click on the button Show the event located in the lower right corner of the box.
Now, in the box that appears in the center of the page, define the details of the sponsorship: in the Text field , provide further information on the event you are promoting; through the Public section you define the audience you want to target the campaign (e.g. People you choose by targeting, People who like your Page, People who like your Page and their friends, etc.) and in the Duration section budget, define the duration of the advertising campaign and the budget you intend to spend to reach more people.
At this point, click on the blue highlight button, located at the bottom right, select the payment method you wish to use to finance the sponsorship (e.g. credit or debit card, PayPal or current account), click the Continue button and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the procedure.
